Man, this article is SO wrong on so many levels.

If you go back to the first UX Designers or even the first HCI researchers, NONE of them were "Designers". They adopted a Designer Mindset (commonly reffered to as Design Thinking) in order to adapt and evolve in high uncertainty enviroments.

Designers didn't even touch UX Design until the late 2000s, now this dude dares to gatekeep everyone not a Designer. Man, you're gonna be pissed when you find out that Norman, Nielsen, Cooper and Rosenfeld, none of them are Designers. You just outsted the guys who literally created the field you work in.

The fact that the author feels entitled enough to write this, just makes it obvious of how unaware he or she is about how much damage this makes to us as an industry
